ANTI VIRUS PROTECTION SOFTWARE

There are a lot of Anti Virus Protection software out there; a few of them are as follows:

Webroot

McAfee

Norton

Kaspersky's

​

Whichever you choose they will perform satisfactorily.  However, if you have Windows 10, you can use the "built-in" Windows Defender and the best part is that it is free!!  So before you install any AV software, be sure to activate the program.

In addition, for those of you who are bit more "computer savvy",  if you need to check for "malware" or "spyware" there are 2 free programs that you can download and run on your computer.....they are as follows:

Malwarebytes - https://www.malwarebytes.com

Superantispyware - http://www.superantispyware.com

​

Follow the prompts and download the programs; they will create a desktop icon, double click the icon, follow the prompts and run the software.  Malwarebytes will check for malware on your computer and Superantispyware will check for any spyware that may be installed on your computer.

​

If you purchase one of the standard AV software you will be just fine; the two above programs are in addition to and a useful tool!
